• We no longer purchase books as our trade base is sufficient to keep our inventory new and updated.

• We sell the majority of our books for half the publisher’s suggested Canadian retail price. GST is included in all of our prices.

• Fiction Hardcovers are always priced at $4.99

• We value our children’s books at a reduced price to enable children to read a variety of books at a lower cost to their parents. We feel that the enjoyment of reading should be developed at a young age.

• We will order new books from Chapter’s or Amazon at no additional cost to our customers. Shipping time is usually 7-10 days

• Our trade value is 50% of OUR selling price. Trades are not genre specific. We recognize that most of us have varied reading tastes and your credit can be used towards the purchase of any of our used books.

• Your trade credit will go towards the total purchase price. Any balance will remain in our system for you to use at a future date. The credits do not expire and if there is a one year period between visits, your credit will still be on file.

• At various times, we have multiple copies of certain authors and we may not trade for these books unless they have been purchased from our store and are returned in the same condition. Please check our “Books Wanted Page” for a list of these authors.

• We do not take the following books on trade:
  1. Books in poor condition
  2. Textbooks
  3. Encyclopedias
  4. Reader’s Digest Condensed Books
  5. Hard Covers without dust jackets
  6. Discarded library books
  7. Dated Publications – eg. 1999 Tax Guide
